Our client, a leading utilities management solutions company, faced a challenge in recruiting a high-caliber Sales Director. Despite their efforts and those of another agency, they were unable to find the right candidate.

We were tasked with identifying a candidate who could not only meet their immediate needs but also drive long-term growth. Recognising the competitive market for top-tier sales talent, we proposed a more aggressive compensation package. Through our extensive network and targeted search, we successfully identified a highly skilled and experienced sales professional.

The candidate was initially hesitant to consider the role due to the lower-than-market salary. However, we were able to position the opportunity as a strategic career move, highlighting the company's growth potential and the opportunity to build a high-performing sales team.

After careful negotiation, we secured a salary package that was £15,000 above the original budget, while also persuading the candidate to accept a £20,000 pay cut. Since joining the company, the candidate has made a significant impact, successfully recruiting 20 new sales team members and positioning himself for a potential equity stake in the business.

Job Overview: As the Business Development Executive, you will play a key role in driving the growth of the business across multiple sectors. This is an exciting omni-channel opportunity that will allow you to leverage your passion for quality food and your ambition to build new business relationships. You will work closely with the leadership team to identify new business opportunities. Key Responsibilities: Identify and develop new business opportunities across foodservice and bulk manufacturing supply markets. Promote and sell value-added poultry products to a wide range of customers.  Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure long-term business success Source high-quality poultry products from suppliers around the globe, ensuring competitive offerings for customers Collaborate with the team to achieve sales targets and contribute to company growth. Qualifications and Skills: Proven sales experience, ideally within the food industry. Passion for quality food and a willingness to learn about the frozen chicken and value-added poultry markets. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple customer accounts. Self-motivated, results-driven, and eager to seize the vast opportunities this role offers. Must be able to drive & hold a full UK license.
